Gas station changes hands
McCORDSVILLE — The former Village Pantry property at 5964 W. Broadway, McCordsville is under new ownership with plans for new branding for the convenience store and gasoline.
Additional Real Estate, LLC, which now owns the property, plans to operate the convenience store under the name Quickpix with the price sign, gasoline canopy and fuel dispensers branded Shell. The convenience store was previously a Village Pantry with a price sign, gasoline canopy and dispensers branded by Marathon.
Along with the convenience store, the site has 10 fueling stationss and a car wash.
Landscaping company moving
McCORDSVILLE — Yorkshire Landscaping is moving to Mt. Comfort Road, but promises to leave in time for the industrial and commercial boom expected for the area.
The company received approval from the McCordsville Board of Zoning Appeals to move to 5129 N. Mt. Comfort Road. The property includes two barns and a single-family house that Yorkshire Landscaping plans to fix up and rent out.
The site will be used for storing trailers and equipment and for employees to meet in the mornings before heading out to jobs.
McCordsville officials share the belief that the Mt. Comfort Corridor is destined for industrial and commercial uses, but don’t mind allowing a landscaping business to operate there for now. Yorkshire Landscaping’s special exception needed to operate at the site lasts two years, after which the company would need to seek annual renewals.
Yorkshire Landscaping will move from 6084 W. County Road 800N. It has been in business for more than 15 years and has about 10 employees.
WorkOne reopens to public
GREENFIELD — The WorkOne office at 836 S. State St., Greenfield has reopened to the public.
The office offers job seeker assistance, resume development and exploration of training and additional education.
Operating hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The office can be reached at 317-462-7711.
