The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Violations found: C/R2 — need to have employee health policy accessible and familiarize staff with policy, sample given/corrected; C — must use soap when washing hands, corrected; C — do not store cleaning utensils, brushes or scrubbers on top of jelly packets for customer self-service, corrected/discarded; NC — must have sanitizing test strips available and used, to be corrected by Nov. 16; C/R2 — shell eggs and half-and-half are held at 59 degrees and 52 degrees respectively (should be held at 41 degrees or lower) and not pulled until ready to use, corrected.
