Harold Raymond “Skeeter” Gulley, 87, of Charlottesville, passed away on the evening of Monday, July 1, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 6, 1931 in Lewis County, KY, a son of the late Essie and Lona (Pendlum) Gulley.

Harold was a proud veteran that served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in France where he served with the First Radio Relay Station Detachment #61.

Harold worked for Container Corporation of Carthage and Linc Belt of Indianapolis before retiring from International Harvester (Navistar). He was also a member of the Union Local #98. Harold was married to his wife, Wanda Whitfield, on March 22, 1958, celebrating 61 years together.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Wanda Gulley; two sons, Greg Gulley (Fred Middleton) of Indianapolis and Gerald Gulley of Chicago; four daughters, Dyana (Michael) Cousins of Willow Branch, Teresa (Kenneth) Zimmerman of Fountaintown, Terri (Brian) Jackson of Shirley and Carrie (Justin) Heisler of Charlottesville; six grandchildren, Brett Ward, Justin Ward, Jayden Jackson, Kristin Bojrab, Alysha Zimmerman and Emma Heisler; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Wyatt Ward; siblings, Mildred Kline, Betty Thurston, Lula Williams.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Arnold, Herb, Charles, Mary and Charlotte. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Carthage with military honors.
