Superhero logo is library’s Lego Challenge of the Month

GREENFIELD — Kids in kindergarten through fifth grade can compete against friends during this month’s challenge by building a superhero logo out of Legos from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. Logos from Batman, Superman, Green Lantern and Billy Batson’s lightning bolt are easily created with Legos. The day’s creations will remain on display in the children’s room for a month. Register to attend this free program at hcplibrary.org.

Sports Legends Experience open for season

INDIANAPOLIS — The Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience has re-opened for the season at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, 3000 N. Meridian. The outdoor area features 12 sports sections including basketball, golf, baseball, tennis and soccer. With certified coaches at every sports area, children and families have the opportunity to learn basic skills, practice drills and excel at a sport of their choice. New this year is the Avenue of Champions, sculptures commissioned specifically for the National Art Museum of Sport, home to more than 1,000 artworks focused on recreational and professional athletics within Sports Legends Experience. Admission is free on Circus Day

INDIANAPOLIS — Billed as “the most fun we have all year,” Indiana Historical Society’s annual Circus Day returns Saturday to the Eugene and Marilyn Glick History Center, 450 W. Ohio St. The History Center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with activities starting at 10:30 a.m. Events include several performances of Krembo K.’s comedy and juggling act, a contortionist and Silly Safaris’ animal conservation show.
