February home sales surge over last year
HANCOCK COUNTY — Monthly real estate statistics from F.C. Tucker Company show Hancock County had the biggest growth in homes sold when comparing February with the same period a year earlier, compared to 14 other central Indiana counties. Single-family and condominium sales rose 30.1 percent over those 12 months, from 93 to 121 sales.
The 15-county central Indiana region F.C. Tucker analyzes had a small decrease in homes sold but higher sale prices and increased inventory over the past year, according to the real estate company.
The county’s average sale price also increased, from $198,318 to $213,644, a 7.7 percent change.
