Riley Park Pool closes for season
GREENFIELD — An equipment malfunction and lack of staffing has closed the Riley Park Pool for the season, according to the parks department.
The Greenfield Parks and Recreation Department posted the information to its Facebook page, Twitter account and website on Thursday, saying the pool closed due to an equipment malfunction that’s causing “unsafe conditions.”
The pool season was scheduled to end July 31, but the department announced last week that it would remain open with limited hours until Aug. 12.
The splash pad located next to the park’s pool will remain open until Labor Day, weather permitting, according to the department’s Facebook page.
