Norma Jean Craig, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away June 11, 2015, at Bloom at German Church Assisted Living Facility in Indianapolis. She was born Aug. 25, 1932, in Ottawa, Ill., to Oscar Rheinhold Johnson and Bertha (Whitmore) Johnson. She later married Robert David Craig, who preceded her in death.

After receiving her high school diploma, she attended Olivet Nazareth University. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed raising and spending time with her family.

Norma was very artistic, and enjoyed working with pottery; firing, sculpting, and painting her own porcelain pieces for many years.

In addition to her husband, Norma is survived by her daughter, Marcia (Kevan) Bainter of Greenfield; son, Byron Craig (Peggy) of Greenwood; son, Gordon Craig (Kay) of Morristown; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Craig (Kevin) of Maryville,Tenn.; brother, Paul Johnson (Rieta) of Gasville, Ark.; brother, Don Johnson (Glenna) of Sarasota, Fla.; as well as many grandchildren and great- grandchildren, whom she loved very much.

In addition to her husband and parents, Norma was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Craig and one sister, Elda Featherston.

Visitation for Norma will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Hendryx Mortuary, 11636 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN, 46229. Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at the First Church of Nazarene, 9401 E. 25th St., Indianapolis, IN, 46229. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery immediately following the funeral.
