Mary Jean Wilhelm, 31, of Shelbyville, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord, unexpectedly Saturday April 4, 2015, at Fayette Regional Health System. She was born Jan. 24, 1984, in Clark County, Arkansas, the oldest of four daughters of Joe McLaurine and Karen Mae Aldrich Word and was a 2002 Connersville High School graduate.

On July 24, 2004, she was married at Park Place Church of God to Nicholas Matthew Wilhelm of Connersville, who survives.

She was a devoted and loving homemaker, and had been employed as a CNA at Heritage House of Connersville and later was employed at Especially Kidz Nursing Home of Shelbyville. But most importantly, she loved being a devoted and loving homemaker, mother and wife.

She was a member of the Town & Country Christian Church and was involved in a bible study group, she enjoyed crocheting and scrapbooking.

Survivors include her husband; sons Nicholas Matthew Wilhelm Jr. and Jacob Roy Wilhelm both at home; her parents, Joe and Karen Word of Connersville; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Stephen and Debbie Wilhelm of Connersville; three sisters, Martha Mae (Brian) Boyd of Greenwood, Indiana, Priscilla McLaurine Word and Tabitha Belle Word both of Connersville; brother-in-law Adam (Jannel) Wilhelm Greenfield; maternal grandparents, Roy Millard and Jean Aldrich Jr. of Connersville; grandmother-in-law Faye Caudill of Connersville; nephew Stephen Wilhelm; niece Ava Wilhelm both of Greenfield; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents.

Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday April 9, 2015, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday April 10, 2015, at Calvary Baptist Church with her pastor, the Rev. Ian Farnsley, officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Children’s Program at Town & Country Christian Church of Shelbyville, Indiana.
