Country Kritters 4-H Club conducts first meeting

HANCOCK COUNTY — Country Kritters 4-H Club conducted its first meeting recently at Brown’s Chapel church.

Tressa Janes, president, called the meeting to order, and 20 members were present.

Kennedy Janes led the pledge while Tressa led the 4-H pledge. Hailey Hedrick did roll call, asking members to name which 4-H project they were most excited about. Caitlin Cox read the treasurer report.

Vickie Ramsey, club leader, led a “get to know everyone game” called Human Scavenger Hunt. Community service and fundraising ideas were also discussed.

The club voted on donating money to the Garden Of Eatin’ for vegetable seeds. Cathie Hickerson, club leader, gave updates on project information and important dates. An election of officers was also held.

Tressa Janes was elected president; Hailey Hedrick as vice president, Caitlin Cox as secretary, Allison Lowe as treasurer, Bella Witte as historian and Reed Hedrick as recreation leader.

Kalyen Edwards gave a demonstration on how to make Oreo balls, and Reed Hedrick led a recreation game.

The next meeting will be held at the Hoosier Gym in Knightstown from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday
