New Kiwanian served 16 years in Air Force

GREENFIELD — The “Meet Your Kiwanian” segment during the group’s recent meeting featured one of the newer members, Chris Norwood.

Norwood was born in Washington and lived in New York and South Carolina before moving back to New York, where he graduated from high school. He graduated from Davidson College in North Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He spent 16 years in the U.S. Air Force, being stationed in Texas, Colorado, Florida and Thailand.

He earned a master’s degree in public administration and obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst accreditation. He moved to Indiana, where his businesses, BP Royce Advisors and Norwood Economics Inc., provide fee-based financial planning for business and individuals.

Norwood has been involved as a board member with Carmel Golden K Kiwanis Club, Pathway Family Centers and the Legacy Fund of Hamilton County’s S.N.A.P. Initiative.

Norwood, his wife and daughter moved to Greenfield about a year and a half ago. He also has two adult children, a daughter who is a nurse and a son who is a doctoral candidate at IUPUI.
