GREENFIELD — The city’s board of works approved the purchase of three new pickup trucks for the Greenfield Power and Light department.
Board members chose the low bid, from Dillon Chevrolet for $88,594, with two trade-ins.
Power and light superintendent Nelson Castrodale told the works board the trucks were priced for about $31,000 each, and the suggested retail price is more than $39,000.
The third pickup truck being replaced, a 2004 model with about 60,000 miles, will be used by the street department once the new trucks are replaced.
