David G. Nulliner

David G. Nulliner, age 75, was called to be with his Lord on Dec. 31, 2011. The son of Fred and Inez Wilkins Nulliner, David was born Aug. 21, 1936 in Fountaintown, Ind.

A mechanic for FMC, Inc., he specialized in heavy construction equipment. He also worked with his wife at Grannies Calico Sampler. He was a member of Brooksville Wesleyan Church of Brooksville, Fla. David was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the Marine Corps League Detachment #708 of Spring Hill, Fla., American Legion Post 186, VFW Post 2693, and the Military Order of Devil Dogs. He was also involved with the New Palestine – Sugar Creek Volunteer Fire Department and the Fountaintown Volunteer Fire Department. He served as the Public Relations Director for the Indiana Volunteer Firemen’s Association.

David is survived by his wife, Loretta J. Jeffries Nulliner of Indianapolis; sons, Jerry Nulliner (Deb) of Fishers, Gary B. Nulliner (Becky) of Brownsburg, and Bruce Nulliner (Debra) of New Palestine; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, David was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Richard.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 in Hendryx Mortuary, New Palestine Chapel, 15 East Main Street. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in New Palestine Cemetery.
