Joseph David “GSXR Rocket” Jones, age 44, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Born on May 13, 1966 in Indianapolis, he was the son of David W. and Judith C. (Corsaro) Jones.
He graduated from North Central High School in 1983. Joseph worked for E.A.R. in Indianapolis for 27 years and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. People, nature, and sports were his main stay.
Surviving him are his daughters Heather L. (Nick) Jones of Indianapolis, and Amira J. Jones of Anderson; parents, David W. and Judith Jones of McCordsville; brother, James A. Jones of McCordsville; sisters, Jennifer A. (Che`) Cameron of Indianapolis, and Dawn M. (Thomas) Woods of Greenfield; grandmother Dorothy Miller of Noblesville; nieces; and nephews David, Brianna, Madison, JeShon, and Amaia.
Preceding him in death were grandparents, Joseph and Carla Corsaro; grandparents, Marvin and Sally Jones; and great grandparents David and Jeanetta Benge.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2011, and from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. A Funeral Mass will be held at 3:30 p.m. on April 19, 2011, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 550 North Rural Street Indianapolis.
