Le Verne M. Wessling Kottlowski, age 86, of Indianapolis, died on March 25, 2011. She was born on Nov. 14, 1924, the daughter of Victor and Mary Hach Wessling.
She graduated from Warren Central High School. Laverne kept herself busy owning two dress shops and was a beautician. She belonged to the Murat R.V. Club, the St. John United Church of Christ, the Mary Martha Circle, and for over 60 years, The Altrustic 15 and the Riley Cheer Guild.
Laverne is survived by her brother, Ralph Wessling; daughter-in-law, Shirley Kottlowski; grandson, Ron (Rhonda) Kottlowski Jr.; granddaughter, Mindy Benge; great-grandsons, Jeremy Kottlowski and Brody Benge; and great-granddaughter, Chesney Benge.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ron Kottlowski Sr.; husband, Charles Kottlowski; parents, Victor and Mary Hach Wessling.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011, at Hendryx Mortuary, 11636 E. Washington St. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at the mortuary with Entombment at Washington Park East.
