Andrew (Drew) Harrison, age 49, a resident of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Methodist Hospital. He was born Feb. 28, 1962, in Anderson to Dr. Richard and Dorothy (Hallett) Harrison.
Drew graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1980 and attended Indiana University. He was employed at GE Healthcare (Eli Lilly/Covance) as a Laboratory Equipment Technician. Drew was a member of Trinity Park United Methodist Church where he played bass in the Praise Band, was involved with the youth ministry and played on the softball team. He enjoyed helping his father at coin shows and was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, and son-in-law.
Drew is survived by his father of Anderson; his wife, Debra of Greenfield; son, Connor; brother, David (Liz) Harrison of Patterson, N.Y.; sisters, Kathleen (Keith) Hubbard of Anderson; Shirley (Joseph) Santisteven of Denver, Colo.; father and mother-in-law, Kenny and Sylvia Shock of Anderson; brother and sister-in-law, Kenny Jr. and Jenni Shock of Noblesville, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2011, at Trinity Park United Methodist Church, with Rev. Michael Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, and one hour prior to the funeral service Monday.
