Mary Jane Kinder, 85, of Rush County, passed away at 9:45 PM Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, in Rush Memorial Hospital. Mary Jane Perry was born Oct. 19, 1925, in Fayette Co., Ind. to Vern and Lulu (Mount) Perry, both deceased. She married Harold E. Kinder on Sept. 1, 1944. and he survives.

She was a 1943 graduate of Connersville High School. Mary Jane was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Connersville but had attended the New Salem United Methodist Church for many years. She was Past Worthy Matron of the Andersonville OES #93, on the 4-H County Council, was a local 4-H leader, a Mother Advisor of the Rainbow Girls, a Guardian for Jobe's Daughters and a member of the Gray Ladies at New Salem.

In addition to her husband, Harold E. of Rushville; Mary Jane is survived by a son, Lloyd V. (Marsha) Kinder of Beecher City, Ill.; a daughter, Dr. Suellen Reed of Rushville; half brother, Don (Donna) Perry of LaBelle, Fla.; grandchildren, Bradley (Trish) Kinder, Tammy (Randy) Richardson and Jennifer (Michael) (Kinder) Castle; and great-grandchildren, Justin McCrory, Cody & Danyell Kinder and Alexander & Brooke Castle.

In addition to her parents; Mary Jane was preceded in death by an infant sister, Dorothy Perry.

Friends are welcome to visit from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, at the mortuary. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with Pastor Phil Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Fisher Cemetery in Rush County.
