Jill Elaine (Hoeppner) Guenin, 38, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, after a valiant, three-and-a-half-year battle with colon cancer. She was born on Oct. 3, 1972, in Ft. Wayne, Ind. She married Blaine Guenin on June 28, 1997.

Jill is a 1995 graduate from the University of Indianapolis and she was employed as a physical therapist at Hancock Regional Hospital for ten years. Jill was an active member of Park Chapel Christian Church in Greenfield. Jill strived to live a life of faith and compassion as modeled to her by the Lord Jesus Christ. Jill enjoyed spending time with her flowers and garden, and traveling and vacationing with her husband, sons, and extended family. Jill was both organized and creative and left a life-time of memories for her family to enjoy.

Jill is survived by her husband, Blaine; two sons, Gage and Clay; parents, Ronald and Beverly Hoeppner, New Haven, Ind.; sister, Lisa (Don) Finch, Indianapolis; brother, Ronald Jr. (Amy) Hoeppner, Greenfield; parent-in-laws, Keith and Marna Guenin, Greenfield; sister-in-law, Shalon (Scott) McCart, Greenwood; brother-in-law, Monty (Michele) Guenin, Evansville; and nieces and nephews, Amanda and Connor Finch, Vivian, Grant, Laurel, and Wilson Hoeppner; Rebekah and Reece McCart; and Garrett and Anna Guenin.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at Park Chapel Christian Church, 1176 E. McKenzie Road, Greenfield. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at the church, with visitation beginning at 4 p.m. Pastors David Woods and Danny Curry will be officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Erlewein Mortuary, Greenfield.
