Jenny Lea (Raymer) Smith, age 78, of Ingalls, peacefully departed her earthly life on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at the Golden Age Brandywine Nursing Home in Greenfield. Jenny Lea was born on May 11, 1932, in Greenfield; she was the daughter of Ralph Raymer and Jessie (Raymer) Conger.

Jenny attended schools in Ingalls and Pendleton and graduated from Eden High School. In addition to maintaining the family home, Jenny was employed by the Finance Center at Fort Harrison, American-Insurance in Indianapolis, Citizens Gas in Indianapolis, Mount Vernon Schools in Fortville, Stony Creek Middle School in Warren Township, and Hancock Regional Hospital.

Jenny is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dwight Smith of Ingalls; daughters, Holly Jae Smith of Indianapolis and Gina Lea Woodward of Southport; brothers, Richard Raymer of Harlingen, Texas and Jerry Raymer of Pendleton; and grandson, Cooper Woodward.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and daughter, Kathy Dowden.

Friends and family are welcome to honor Jenny's memory from 3:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.
