Diana Lynn Garrison, age 55, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. Born on July 2, 1955, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of John L. and Patricia A. (Thomas) Beeler.

Diana graduated from Lawrence Central High School in 1973 and attended Butler University. She married Donald Garrison on June 7, 1975, in Indianapolis, and he preceded her in death. Diana worked at Hancock Regional Hospital as a cardiac sonographer for thirty years before retiring in May of 2010.

Diana was an avid painter who loved her dogs, going to sporting events, and her grandchildren. She loved crossword puzzles and was a Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune wizard. She also loved to sing and had previously sung in her church choir.

Surviving her are her children, Mark Garrison of Carmel, Miki (Nate) Burris of Carthage, and Megan Garrison of Carthage; father, John Beeler of The Villages, Fla.; grandchildren, David and Ryan Burris; sister, Kathryn (Tyler) Johnson of South Charleston, Ohio; nieces, Suzie (Josh) McKenna of Columbus, Heidi Johnson of Fortville, and Krista Marchant of Ingalls; other nieces and nephews; uncle, Jim (Carolyn) Beeler of Carmel; and an aunt, Mary Acton of Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; mother, Patricia; and mother-in-law, Marjorie Garrison.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
