ATLANTA — Gov. Nathan Deal says Georgia's net tax revenue for September was roughly 5 percent higher than September of 2013.
Deal said in a statement Wednesday that Georgia collected $1.81 billion in net taxes in September. The figure is roughly $86.25 million more than what Georgia collected in September 2013.
Deal says the state's year-to-date net tax revenue totals $4.69 billion, an increase of about $211.25 million from the same time period in 2013.
Georgia's individual income tax revenue also rose in September by about 7.3 percent from September of 2013. Deal says Georgia collected about $950 million, up from about $885.5 million from September 2013.
Deal says Georgia's net corporate tax collections in September also increased by about $5 million from $179.75 million that was collected in September of 2013.
