SC Chamber of Commerce, state government join forces to hold job fair for military veterans

FORT JACKSON, South Carolina — Members of the Chamber of Commerce, South Carolina state government and the Army's Fort Jackson are joining forces to help military veterans find jobs.

An employment workshop will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Solomon Center on Fort Jackson, followed by the hiring fair.

The workshop will focus on resume writing, interviewing and translating military capabilities to civilian-work tasks.

It is open to military veterans, those planning on transitioning from military service, and their spouses. Several local employers seeking workers are expected to attend.
