CHEYENNE, Wyoming — Cheyenne Frontier Days officials are drafting a master plan to upgrade the 83-acre park where the event is held.

The Wyoming Tribune-Eagle reports (http://bit.ly/1MPuhLZ) that without room for Frontier Park to grow in the city, General Committee Chairman Darin Westby says the master plan is being established to help establish how the existing space can be used more efficiently over the next 20 years or so.

New restrooms, buildings and parking are among the upgrades being considered.

CEO Tom Hirsig said these are the first upgrades for the Frontier Park in roughly 20 years. He said the new restrooms will be in the B and C stands and could be completed in the next couple of years.

Other, more expensive improvements will take longer.
