2 students injured after SUV hits stopped school bus in Chesterfield County

CHESTERFIELD, Virginia — Police say two students suffered minor injuries after a Chesterfield County school bus was hit by a sport utility vehicle.

Police tell media outlets that the bus had stopped to pick up students on Tuesday morning when it was hit in the rear by the SUV. The bus' lights were flashing at the time.

Two students were taken to area hospitals.

The SUV's driver also suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. His name hasn't been released.

The investigation is continuing.
