BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Zack Denny made four 3-pointers and finished with 18 points to lead Bowling Green to a 70-55 win over Wright State on Wednesday.
Spencer Parker added 14 points and six rebounds for Bowling Green (2-0). Richaun Holmes had nine points, eight rebounds and five blocks. The Falcons made 42.6 percent of their 54 shots, including 5 of 11 3-pointers.
Denny scored the final seven Bowling Green points of the first half to pull within 28-27.
The lead changed hands five times in the first 5 minutes of the second half. Michael Karena's basket pulled Wright State within 49-46 with 10:10 remaining. That's the last field goal Wright State would make, going 9 of 10 from the free throw line the rest of the way.
