VILLE PLATTE, Louisiana — Police say 21-year-old Christopher Goodley has been booked on a count of first-degree murder in the death of his 80-year-old grandmother, Delsy Williams, whose body was found last week in a field off Louisiana Highway 1161.
Goodley, of Ville Platte, was already being held in Evangeline Parish jail on an outstanding warrant for theft in an unrelated case.
The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/1zjmE6P ) Goodley was questioned Nov. 3 in Williams' death and arrested the same day on the outstanding warrant for theft.
Authorities have not released information on how she was killed.
It was unclear whether Goodley has an attorney.
