In this photo by Bullit Marquez, fire survivors sift through the debris after a huge fire razed an informal settlers' community in suburban Mandaluyong city, east of Manila, Philippines. The fire destroyed about 800 houses that were home to thousands of people, many of whom returned to the community Thursday to try to salvage what remained of their belongings. People without a place to go were staying at a city gymnasium. Fire officials reported no casualties.
