BELEN, New Mexico — New Mexico State Police say a woman has died after her vehicle crashed on an interstate near Belen.
Authorities say 56-year-old Yolanda Filerio was driving south on Interstate 25 on Friday night when she somehow lost control of her vehicle.
According to investigators, the car entered the median and rolled over several times before coming to rest in the northbound lanes.
Filerio was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
State Police say she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
