SULLIVAN, Indiana — A southwestern Indiana judge has rejected a change of venue request for a man charged in the death of a pregnant Sullivan woman.

A Sullivan County judge denied Johnus Orr's request to have his murder trial moved to another county. Orr's trial is now set for Aug. 10 in Sullivan Superior Court, with a hearing in the case scheduled for July 21.

Orr faces two felony counts of murder in connection with the November death of 20-year-old Tiffanie Adams and her viable fetus.

The Tribune-Star reports ( ) that Adams was Orr's stepsister. She vanished in early November and her body was found Dec. 30 in a farm field north of Sullivan.

Orr faces a maximum penalty of 65 years if convicted on each murder count.
