FRANKFORT, Kentucky — The Kentucky Supreme Court postponed oral arguments in a lawsuit brought by a former Louisville assistant track coach who claims she was fired for filing a sexual harassment complaint.
The justices will take up the case of Mary Banker on Feb. 4. The case had originally be set for Dec. 10.
Banker won a $300,000 judgment from the university's Athletic Association after suing when her contract wasn't renewed. The Kentucky Court of Appeals ruled in February 2013 that the university showed its decision was for non-discriminatory reasons and that Banker couldn't overcome that proof.
Banker worked on track coach Ron Mann's staff from September 2007 through June 2008. Banker was told of the non-renewal around the same time she filed a sexual harassment complaint in April 2008.
