BATON ROUGE, Louisiana — Authorities accuse a Baton Rouge man of setting a vehicle on fire.

Baton Rouge Fire Department spokesman Curt Monte said in a news release received by The Advocate (http://bit.ly/1JF2kEe) that 33-year-old Ulysses Jones is accused of intentionally setting fire to the engine of an automobile Saturday. Monte says investigators think the crime stemmed from an ongoing domestic dispute.

An affidavit by a fire investigator says the car's battery was discovered missing, leaving no ignition source in the area. The document also alleges Jones sent a photo of the vehicle blaze to the victim as it was happening.

Jones, who was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison Sunday, faces one count of simple arson.

Online jail records do not list an attorney for Jones.
