CORAOPOLIS, Pennsylvania — CORAOPOLIS, Pennsylvania — Dick's Sporting Goods Inc. (DKS) on Tuesday reported earnings of $49.2 million in its fiscal third quarter.

The Coraopolis, Pennsylvania-based company said it had profit of 41 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 40 cents per share.

The sporting goods retailer posted revenue of $1.53 billion in the period, matching Street forecasts.

Dick's expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.75 to $2.85 per share.

Dick's shares have decreased 18 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 15 percent in the last 12 months.
