Game and Fish seeks information from the public after 3 antelope poached in Cody area

CODY, Wyoming — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says it is seeking help from the public to find out who illegally shot three antelope near Cody.

A person who was riding horseback in the Diamond Basin area came across the fawn and two buck antelope last weekend.

Game warden Craig Smith says all three antelope were shot and left to waste. Smith suspects the poaching happened Friday.

Anybody with information about what happened can call the state stop poaching hotline at 1-877-WGFD-TIP (1-877-943-3847).
