DAYTON, Ohio — A judge in southwestern Ohio has sentenced a man to seven years in prison for driving drunk and causing a fatal crash while speeding down an alley.

The Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office says 46-year-old Richard Dunlevy was sentenced Tuesday on convictions related to the March 29 crash in Dayton.

Police said he was speeding in his SUV down an alley when he ran into a Honda. The car's 61-year-old driver, Sara Hinders, was hospitalized and died three days later. Police say Dunlevy was drunk and had a suspended driver's license at the time of the crash.

He had pleaded guilty Dec. 12 to aggravated vehicular homicide and drunken driving. He also was stripped of his driver's license for life.
