GULFPORT, Mississippi — A South Mississippi man is facing trial in March on federal charges of distribution and possession of child pornography.
The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1Bzswuz ) a federal grand jury handed down the indictment this month against 48-year-old Timothy Winfred Miller. He pleaded not guilty to the charges Tuesday in U.S. District.
According to the indictment, Miller allegedly distributed visual depictions of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct through the Internet.
In addition, he is accused on Nov. 20, 2013, in Harrison County of possessing child pornography on a Hewlett Packard laptop computer.
Magistrate Judge Robert H. Walker released Miller, after his initial court appearance, to home confinement and gave him a $25,000 unsecured bond pending trial.
It was unclear whether Miller has an attorney.
