WILMINGTON, Delaware — Delaware State Police say two men were arrested after two cars collided in Wilmington, injuring three people.

It happened about 2 p.m. Saturday on Old Capitol Trail. Troopers say 20-year-old Christopher Garay, of Wilmington was driving north when he tried to make a left turn onto Farrand Drive.

Police say Garay drove into the path of a car driven by 35-year-old James Lambert of Wilmington. Authorities say Lambert's car hit Garay's vehicle.

Officers say Garay and a passenger in his car, 26-year-old Eduardo Bermudez of Wilmington, ran from the accident scene, but returned. Authorities say police found a bag containing heroin in a nearby vehicle's muffler pipe.

Garay, Bermudez and Lambert were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Bermudez and Garay have been charged with drug and traffic offenses.
