Police accuse Asheville man of embezzling more than $7,000 from downtown restaurant

ASHEVILLE, North Carolina — Police in Asheville are accusing a man of stealing more than $7,000 from a downtown restaurant.

The Asheville Citizen-Times reports (http://avlne.ws/1wkmmw2) 19-year-old Jonathan Josue Sevilla Alvarado is charged with embezzlement.

According to police, Alvarado took $7,458 from the Twisted Crepe restaurant.

Alvarado is free from the Buncombe County jail on a $5,000 unsecured bond. Jail records didn't show if he has an attorney.
