HONOLULU — Honolulu authorities say a visitor to Oahu was rescued after he tumbled 50 feet while hiking on an Oahu mountain.

Honolulu television station KHON-TV (http://is.gd/pI92CU) reports the man used his cell phone to call for help Thursday morning after he fell in the Koolau Mountains. Responders say the man, whose name was not released, is in his 40s and from the mainland.

Honolulu fire Department Battalion chief Howard Naone says the man was conscious and able to move, but had to be extricated and carried out by aircraft.

According to Naone, the man said he found the trail online.
