OKLAHOMA CITY — A 59-year-old man has been sentenced to life in prison in the fatal shooting of another man in a road rage dispute outside a Target store in Oklahoma City.

The jury took about an hour Wednesday to convict David Bloebaum of first-degree murder in the Sept. 28, 2012, killing of 28-year-old Jasen Yousif of Edmond. Bloebaum was also convicted of carrying a firearm unlawfully.

The life sentence carries no possibility of parole.

The Oklahoman reports (http://bit.ly/1tEkApq ) that Bloebaum's defense attorneys tried to argue that the killing was in self-defense.

Police say both men were driving aggressively and that one appeared to be chasing the other.

Prosecutor Gayland Gieger said the jury's decision sends a clear message that "you don't settle road disputes with firearms."
