HOUSTON — A woman who was shot in the head during a road rage incident is now speaking out about her experience.

KTRK (http://abc13.co/1xF2x6Y ) reports that 22-year-old Kay Hafford was shot March 20 after she honked her car horn at a man who cut her off while driving on Interstate 45 in Houston.

Hafford says that the vehicle pulled up alongside her, and the driver told her to pull over and roll down her window. Shortly after she tried to speed up, she heard a booming noise. She was shot her through the passenger side window before speeding off.

Hafford was able to call 911 and was transported to the hospital, where bullet fragments were removed from her skull. She is no longer in the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

According to Good Morning America, Hafford has forgiven the suspect, who is still on the run.
