NEW CASTLE, Indiana — The trial for a man charged with murder in the death of a fellow inmate last year in the New Castle Correctional Facility has been canceled after a plea agreement was reached.

Henry Circuit Judge Judge Kit Crane has set a July 30 sentencing for 22-year-old Taylor Baughn of Evansville. He had been charged in the death of 37-year-old Jeremiah Taylor in February 2013. The Star Press reports ( ) terms of the plea agreement have been filed in court but have not been released.

The trial had been scheduled to begin Tuesday.

Baughn had been convicted of child molesting while Taylor was serving a 12-year prison term after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a preschooler in Noble County.
