FAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina — Authorities say a friend of a 72-year-old man has found him shot to death in his Fayetteville home a day after a 76-year-old man was shot to death in the same county.
Fayetteville Police said in a news release that the friend called 911 around 8:45 a.m. Monday after finding James Bryant's body.
The city's homicide squad is investigating the death. Investigators didn't say whether it appeared someone broke into Bryant's home. No arrests have been made.
Bryant's death came a day after Cumberland County deputies found a 76-year-old man shot to death in his living room in a home in the Cedar Creek community.
