MARIETTA, Georgia — Prosecutors say a man accused of killing a mother and her 13-year-old daughter 29 years ago has been arrested.
Cobb County District Attorney Vic Reynolds announced Friday that 60-year-old Ronald Lee Kyles was arrested in the murder of Sharon Brady and her daughter Samantha Brady. Both were found dead in their apartment in Marietta on Sept. 12, 1986.
Brady's three-year-old daughter was also in the apartment, but was unharmed. Kyles lived in the same apartment complex as the Bradys in 1986.
Reynolds says Kyles has been charged with murder, rape, aggravated assault and burglary.
Reynolds says Kyles is currently serving a nine-year sentence for aggravated assault at a correctional institution in Pennsylvania. Reynolds says Kyles will be extradited to Cobb County to face charges.
