NEW BRITAIN, Connecticut — Matt Mobley had 23 points and the game-winning play to lead Central Connecticut to a 76-73 overtime win over Sacred Heart on Saturday.

Mobley converted a three-point play to put Central Connecticut up three with 29 seconds left in overtime. Phil Gaetano missed a last-second heave as the Blue Devils held on.

Faronte Drakeford finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds, Brandon Peel had 14 and 14 and Khalen Cumberlander added 10 points and five assists for the Blue Devils (5-24, 3-13 Northeast).

Cane Broom had 17 points, Evan Keley 14 and De'von Barnett 13 for the Pioneers (13-16, 7-9). Gaetano added 12 points and 11 assists. Sacred Heart is 2-2 in overtime games this season.

After Broom split a pair of free throws with seven seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 66, Mobley missed a 3-pointer to send the game into overtime.
