    WORCESTER, Massachusetts — Justin Burrell scored the go-ahead layup with seven seconds remaining to lead Holy Cross to a 74-73 win over Lafayette on Wednesday night.

    Nick Lindner hit two free throws to give Lafayette a one-point lead with 22 second left, and after Burrell gave Holy Cross the edge, Seth Hinrichs missed a final attempt from 3-point range.

    Malachi Alexander finished with 17 points and four rebounds and Malcolm Miller had 13 points, including 3-of-3 shooting from 3-point range for the Crusaders (7-10, 2-5 Patriot).

    Dan Trist tallied 18 points and eight rebounds, Hinrichs had 14 and 10 and both Monty Boykins and Lindner added 12 for the Leopards (11-7, 3-4). Joey Ptasinski scored three points to put him over the 1,000-point mark, joining teammates Hinrichs and Trist.

    There were six lead changes after halftime and the Crusaders' six-point lead early in the second was the largest of the half.
