CLAYTON, North Carolina — Johnston County sheriff's investigators have made an arrest in the shooting death of a murder suspect at a party in Clayton last weekend.

Deputies told local media that 42-year-old Annie Marie Artis of Selma was charged Tuesday with murder.

Forty-two-year-old Derrick Lester Williams of Wilson's Mills was found shot to death early Sunday outside a building where a party was being held.

Williams had been facing a second-degree murder charge in the May 2 shooting death of 18-year-old Moesha Lockamy. Williams told investigators when he called them that he and the teen had been playing with the gun when it fired.

Sheriff Steve Bizzell said more arrests are possible in Williams' death. Artis was being held in the Johnston County jail. It was not known if she has an attorney.
