CUMBERLAND, Wisconsin — Two people are dead and 16 others were injured after a car and a high school volleyball team's bus collided in western Wisconsin.

WDIO-TV (http://bit.ly/1JdP5ZU) reports the crash happened north of Cumberland at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The Wisconsin State Patrol says initial reports indicate a car didn't stop for the northbound bus of the Spooner High School volleyball team.

Tiffany Hostetler, 29, and her 3-year-old daughter, Elanora Hutton, were declared dead at the scene. Hostetler's five-year-old son, Marshall Hutton, was hospitalized and released Sunday.

The school bus was sent into a ditch and was partially submerged in water. The coach, bus driver and students were treated for minor injuries and released.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
