CLARKSVILLE, Tennessee — Darian Stone threw for 186 yards, rushed for another 130 and accounted for two touchdowns as Tennessee Tech raced past Austin Peay 41-15 in the season finale for both teams on Saturday night.

Stone caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Brock McCoin on the opening drive. Stone and Jared Davis each threw touchdown passes to Cody Matthews in the third quarter to push the Golden Eagles (5-7, 4-4 Ohio Valley) out to a 31-13 lead. Matthews had 10 receptions for 171 yards.

Isaiah McKinney ran for the go-ahead score in the second quarter and Ladarius Vanlier had an 84-yard breakaway in the fourth. Vanlier had 92 yards rushing and another 50 receiving.

Trey Taylor threw for 224 yards for Austin Peay (1-11, 1-7), including an 80-yard touchdown to Wesley Thomas that tied it at 10 early. Otis Gerron had 114 yards on 24 carries and Thomas added 141 yards receiving.
