ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico — An Albuquerque man will spend up to 10 years in prison over convictions for possessing and producing child pornography.
The Albuquerque Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1LlZpgB) 2nd Judicial District Judge Judith Nakamura denied requests for probation from 51-year-old Thomas Dolphus' attorney, former employer and family members.
She sentenced Dolphus in court Wednesday, strongly recommending that he be placed in a sex offender treatment program. Nakamura said the images presented in this case were some of the most violent she's seen.
The judge suspended part of the 19-and-a-half-year sentence and gave Dolphus credit for time served. He could spend up to 10 years in prison.
