RALEIGH, North Carolina — Hundreds of people attended a vigil this week in memory of a 13-year-old car passenger authorities say was shot to death after others in the vehicle argued with people outside in a Raleigh neighborhood.
Local media outlets report that at least 200 people gathered Wednesday night at a vigil in the neighborhood where the body of Keyshawn Gregory was found.
Paramedics found Gregory dead in a car about a mile from the site of a shooting that took place Aug. 7. Police have charged 19-year-old Malik Armein Jones with murder and two other people as accessories after the fact of murder.
Investigators say the suspects knew the people in the car, but didn't say why they were arguing.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday.
