SILVER SPRING, Maryland — About 40 high school students were evacuated from a Montgomery County school bus after an engine fire.

Montgomery County Public Schools spokesman Dana Tofig says there were no injuries as a result of the fire, which happened around 7 a.m.

He says the students were taken off the bus very quickly and put onto another one. The students attend James Hubert Blake High School. The bus caught fire in Silver Spring.
